  • We were recently featured in the Weekend Section, 11th September, 2010, of the most widely read newspaper in Ireland, The Irish Independent. The article was called "Write, Pray, Love" and was written by Johanna Gohmann.
  • La Muse was featured in a recent Guardian travel article by Stephanie Cross! We were recommended for arty types on a budget. Thanks to The Guardian for including us in this great lineup.
  • Liza Filby, a writer from London, has written a lovely article, "Solitary Confinement," about her experience here at La Muse for GRADBritain, a publication of Vitae, a researcher's portal for researchers, supervisors, research managers and employers. You can check out the article by downloading the magazine here. Her article's on page 9. Liza was here a few months ago and is studying for a PhD on the relationship between Thatcher and the Church of England, at the Institute of Historical Research, University of London.
  • Reuters have picked up the article that was written about us in "Travel and Leisure" this month. It's called "Travel Picks: Top 10 vacations for the newly unemployed." You can read the full article here.

  • La Muse is now a member of the Alliance of Artist's Communities in the US. The AAC advocates for and supports artists communities, in order to advance the endeavors of artists.
  • We just became a member of "Fractured Atlas". If you're living in the US and you need insurance/advice as an artist/writer etc. you've got to check them out.
  • The 2009 Fodor's "France" guide has a review of La Muse in it. It's in the "Midi-Pyrenees and Languedoc-Roussillon" hotel reviews, under Carcassonne.
  • La Muse is in the March 2009 issue of "Travel and Leisure" magazine. Written by Claire Berlinski, the article names us as one of the ten "Top Vacations for the Newly Unemployed."
  • Here's a list of La Muse's renovations in the last 3 years: a new roof, non-fiberglass insulation in the 450 meters-squared attic, three wood-burning stoves, 100 yards worth of upholstery-weight fabric for curtains, more than double the amount of radiators, a new oil furnace, a new industrial cooker and sink and appliances in the attendee kitchen, a new dining room, 2 new art studios, an expanded library, WIFI, a separate workspace, reading chairs and desks in all the rooms, a bigger washing machine and a newly renovated laundry room, a new entrance...
